Anchorage community volunteers will join The Salvation Army to prepare pancake breakfast this year as part of the Anchorage July 4th Celebration! The event runs from 8am-10:30am at 9th and G. The cost is $5.00 and proceeds go directly to The Salavation Army McKinnell House. Get out this 4th of July...have fun... eat pancakes and help Anchorage's homeless families. Start: 11:00 am

The Wasilla 4th of July Parade begins at 11am in the Valley Performing Arts parking lot in Wasilla. A picnic follows with FREE hot dogs! Fireworks happen at 11:30pm at Iditapark. Visit: www.wasillachamber.org for more info. Start: 11:00 am

The July 4th parade winds along downtown streets beginning at 11am. Between noon and 6pm...three stages of entertainment, games and activities for the kids, food booths and more! Parking is free. Start: 2:00 pm

The Chugiak Independence Day Parade starts at 2pm at Lattimer Fire Station on Old Glenn Highway. There will be a hotdog and hamburger stand fundraiser, games and vendors, espresso and ice cream from 11am-4pm at the Chugiak Senior Center on N. Birchwood Loop. Start: 7:00 pm
