SUTTON, Alaska (AP) – A Sutton man was charged with felony eluding after a high-speed pursuit on the Glenn Highway.

Alaska State Troopers say 26-year-old Jeffrey Kudlacek was arrested Monday night and held without bail at the Palmer jail.

Troopers say an officer shortly before 8 p.m. tried to stop a northbound car for speeding at more than 100 mph near Sutton at Mile 61.

The car continued to Mile 69 Glenn Highway.

Troopers say the car did a U-turn, headed south and ran over spikes that an officer had deployed.

The car continued with two deflated tires to Mile 59, where the driver jumped out and tried to run. Troopers say Kudlacek was arrested after a short pursuit.

Online court documents do not list his attorney.
