Pet of the Week: Clyde the Turtle!

We are again highlighting some of the “other” pets we have available at Anchorage Animal Care and Control Center, by introducing Clyde, a red eared slider turtle. Turtles belong to one of the oldest families in the animal kingdom, dating back to the dinosaurs! Red eared sliders are an aquatic turtle, so he will need a nice aquarium setup to live in. He enjoys swimming and basking in the light of his heating lamp. Turtles can be wonderful pets, lively and fun to watch. Clyde can be adopted for $10. The adopter will need to provide the aquarium or other living habitat, as this is not included.
