ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – Two men have been arrested in connection with a man’s shooting death in the parking lot of an Anchorage hotel.

KTUU reports Anchorage police took 35-year-old Dwayne Nelson into custody Sunday morning after he was apprehended at a home.

Anchorage police say another man, 22-year-old Ryan Edwin, barricaded himself in the home. He was eventually arrested.

The men are charged with 2nd degree murder in connection with the Nov. 12 death of 27-year-old David Welch at the Spenard Holiday Inn Express.

Online court records don’t list attorneys for either of the men.

Welch was shot in the upper body. Police have said the shooting may have been related to drugs.
