JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — State officials have extended a closure of schools to students and restrictions on travel and public activities meant to help slow the spread of the coronavirus. This came Thursday as Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy said the state plans next week to lay out some ideas for getting society and businesses running again. Dunleavy said the state has been planning for that eventuality and officials would discuss ideas that he said would give Alaskans hope. He says the effort will be led by the state’s medical team. Meanwhile, the state’s chief medical officer says the state has further broadened its testing criteria.
