KFQD Interview: Seismologist Matt Gardine

On November 30th, 2018, a 7.1 earthquake rocked South Central Alaska, causing hundreds of millions of dollars in damages. The quake was a part of a record-setting year, in which Alaska experienced the most earthquakes on record for the state. KFQD’s Toben Shelby spoke with Matt Gardine of the Alaska Earthquake Center at the University of Alaska Fairbanks about the quake, the record setting year, and how this year’s seismic activity compares.
